"The print is small to read. When you go to increase the size of the print to a readable size it increases in size like a computer and not like print on a Kindle. I also tried it on my phone and the size would not increased at all. I have since updated the book on my Kindle as was suggested by David and it is better but I ended up downloading Kindle to my computer and was able to read it just fine. An execellent book filled with wonderful information."

- I'll start out with the whine (which I'll deal with through ) all the print on mine is tiny and the letters overlap.
But I'm reading it anyway and it's really, really good. David is making it very simple like he makes a lot of things. I'm not going anywhere near the scale he's gone or as specialized; I'm going to start out with simple tomato plants because everybody loves those here and I'm really good at growing them healthy and quickly. I'll start out with what I'm good at and move on from there. I live on a dead-end street and there is an animal rescue that draws a lot of volunteers who are the perfect market for my organic eggs and I'll try a few tomato plants and see what happens. Being careful of being miserly like I can be will bite me in the butt and I can't thank David enough for steering his readers clear on doing that in areas where presentation is important and not doing things that are labor intensive to save a few bucks. He's clear on what is worth spending money on, and what's not.
He has a funny, intelligent, friendly writing style that's very appealing, easy and fun to read while providing his reader with his decades and hard won experience.
I really love it like I do all his other books and can highly recommend it for anyone considering making some cash selling plants. All of his other books are in my library and because I also live in Florida are my go-to resources for all things gardening here. - Yesterday, I received 'The easy way to start a home-based plant nursery and make THOUSANDS in your spare time' By David The Good. "The" is kind of a strange middle name... Anyway, It came on time and in pristine condition enclosed in a stylish bubble pack envelope. I was dazzled by the beautiful glossy full color paperback cover. It was a quick and delightful read punctuated with lots of neat campy pictures from David's lifetime of plant selling adventures. I just couldn't put it down till I had finished.
Sometimes when you read a how to book the author will talk in wild generalities, candy coat everything and provide you with nothing but cherry picked unrealistic examples of how something might go under only optimal conditions. David The Good does not engage in this sort of nonsense. While providing clear and useful information with tons of real world personal experience he entertains with funny anecdotes and encourages with maxims like, "Fear is the passion killer, the obstacle that holds you back from success." I didn't even make it past the introduction without finding myself grasping for a highlighter. Now I know why David is REALLY in Central America. He's hiding from the plant mafia because he has given us all their secrets in this book.
I know that I personally was unsettled at the thought of having to apply for a license, being inspected and deal with the dreaded tax man until I read this book. David gives good advice at dealing with these hazards. He even advocates turning to some government agencies which I never would have considered otherwise as possible funding sources. I'm truly encouraged going forward. - I pre-ordered the book, since I am familiar with the author's other books. (You should consider buying those other books, to tell you what you might consider planting in your new plant nursery, especially in South and Central Florida; except for the Jack Broccoli novel, which may give you a new perspective on turnips and mushrooms. I mean, you should consider buying the novel, but not as a guide to what you might plant). This one has good information and is good encouragement, and is actually useful for people who want to operate any home-based business. There was one disappointment, originally, in the formatting for , but that appears to have been fixed. I would have liked to have gotten a little more information about those nursery supply companies that he mentions--but no stars off for that.
- A good book with lots of useable information. One I will definitely refer to again and again as I incorporate his ideas with my dream of retiring soon to do what I love and supplement my income.
- Excellent directions for starting a nursery. Detailed and the writing is amusing as well lol. Definitely a must read for starting a nursery!
- I just finished reading it. Thank you for writing this informative book. I'm looking forward to putting what you taught into practice. Keep up the good work.
- Easy reference, pointers are not buried in the paragraphs. The points are the paragraph.
- The print is small to read. When you go to increase the size of the print to a readable size it increases in size like a computer and not like print on a . I also tried it on my phone and the size would not increased at all. I have since updated the book on my as was suggested by David and it is better but I ended up downloading to my computer and was able to read it just fine.
